CIMP Graduation and Camporama

Its been a while, missed me? Yeah i know i dont layan you much these days..
(Yes, i know im talking to my blog, but you also la indirectly.. haha.. dont feel left out )

Its been what, months?
Anyways, lots of stuff was goin on so faham faham la.. I graduated! Finally free from CIMP.. haha..

Average aint great but hey, whats done's done right?
NO REGRETS
Its enough to get me where i want la atleast..
..... if i know where i want to go in the first place..
(How does Business Management sound...? Psychology?)

Was lookin at Suet's blog.. SO MANY pics of CIMP..
k la.. maybe miss a bit la.. a tiny bit.. maybe.
hahaha.. sheena gettin so emo..

A pinch from her side:

And then there was Camporama09
sigh... where do i begin with this one?
9 years of waiting since the last Camporama i attended (2000)
5 days of grueling labourous work under the unforgiving sun

The moment of the camp hands down goes to the Kangaroo mascot of Australia.
See, we were divided into 4 Cities, each themed with an Asian-Pacific Country.
The kangaroo mascot jumped and jumped when we assembled in the morning.
and suddenly stopped.
and dropped.
right in front of everyone.
heatstroke.

hahaha.. it was just a minor case though.. everyone in their city was laughing (which was a bit odd) and there was a particular FCF member there i recognized that continued to play with the Aussie flag... just saying what i saw peeps, just saying what i saw...

But Commanders quickly came to the rescue and next thing you know,
Kangaroo's on the First-aid team!!
top that, mate..

True to China-ism, we bagged the inter-city challenge award.
(China, being a lil 'off' in fashion terms, but always bringing the golds in the Olympics)
I got to manager and strategize the team members for China
Though we didnt win any matches, China had a steady 2nd place for ultimate frisbee, laser tag and some game about cardboard boats and lakes which won us the title.
All you 'Chinese' who see this, especially those who participated, CONGRATS!! each one of you did excellent and

Well its a national camp for every all Royal Rangers in Malaysia
4 days long (+1 for me because i went to help prepare the site)
with loads and loads of endless games and fun and fellowship
and to those manning the stalls of endless fun and games? endless work...
but no complains. nope none..

but oh, so blessedly amazing to see kids opening up
to new friends, to God, to Commanders (like me.. lol)

Also got to meet the whole bunch of them from the Glad Tidingses and Graces
and not to forget new ones line stephanie, joel, jessie, david, lydia, justin, amanda etc etc...

you dont know how much what you give can affect those whom you give what you give to

k thats all for now i guess
more pics next time la..

Easter, Treyc's birthday, Kah Yun and CIMP Talent Night '09

Well, its kinda been a while since pictures came in.. so yeah..

Easter

Easter was a good time to remember what really mattered,
why we do what we do,

Saturday night in Bukit Jalil Stadium

Sunday morning in City Harvest, Sunway

Puts things into focus again la basically...
when everything else is blurred

Treyc's Bday...

How to celebrate a birthday without the birthday person?
who cares? less men, more share...

here's to you, sista..

kidding laa..
We had sandwiches during your birthday, and so thought of making you 1..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Kah Yun

What to do when your friends emitted to the hospital with hemorrhagic dengue?
ANS: Take pictures... make his moment last... hahahaa..

Drip...

He's alright laa...
I think he's out now.. But his bro's sent in now... no prizes for guessing why..

CIMP Talent Night '09

Talent Night this year was great, in fact i just got back from it..
(no I'm not excited and typing enthusiastically, it wasn't THAT great... haaha)

That's why no pics too... cant steal from any blogs...
But, unlike laaast yeaaar, the money was definitely worth it..
The opera singer was goood
The girl who played disturbia was good too...

Other than that were rapping, singing, trumpeting... all alriiight la... i wouldn't say bad..
Kai Lai and the breakdancers put up a good show too.. not like last years slutty show...

Oh, and the Commtech videos in between the performances was purely hilarious..

And and and... they ended the students performances with a band (named 'The Hello Kitties', After Ms. Janie's obsessive affections for Hello Kitty...) doing 'Knights of Cydonia' and 'Plug in Baby', both Muse tracks...

NO WAAY.... waay too impossible...

And it was.. sadly, they had a band... that played with a -1 track... waat!? who you tryin to kid laa? They probly even stole the extra riff Muse did after Plug in Baby in the Wembley concert and acted like they were playing it..

But.. they're Muse fans.. and so, thou art forgiven...

Oh, and btw...

...nice..

Roadsides

So, there i was....
6 hours of college
3 hours of bus-ing around and
2+ km of foot work behind me

Half a kilometer ahead

It was drizzling, the kind with sad heavy drops...
maybe i should have waited for a bus in the first place, but i just didn't like standing helplessly under the rain

I stopped striding at a junction
Its a funny feeling having cars were flying pass on my right and motionless trees on my left
Makes you feel like being trapped in time, epiphanic...

I looked across the 4 lanes to the Petronas as the rain gets heavier
Now if i ran, I'd get soaked.. if i stayed.. not much difference there..

Took a step back against a palm tree and watched the moody sky moaning
Watched the rain crawling closer to my feet
The thunder calls echoing the lightning flashes in the clouds...
Remember how teacher taught you not to stand under trees when its raining?

Only one thing was stopping me from dashing to shelter...
And that was weariness, despite all self-denial and masculine 'ego' i have in my strength
Well, that... and maybe the speeding cars too...

But then hope appeared, salvation from the drench
in ridiculous impossible coincidence

A bus.

Which side of the road would you have stood at?

"I would like to thank God for..."

Ive got a testimony...

When I started this week, i was sick and broke...

but i got healed.. Thank God...

but before i got healed, i banged up my car against a Nissan Terrano..

So thank God for protection...

And that i didn't have to pay petrol for the rest of the week...

And i don't have to pay for the other car's damages, there were none...

Come to think about it, I didn't have to pay for mine either...

Thank God mom let me off the hook this time...

And after sending my ride for repairs, my dad asked if i needed money...

He said God told him i needed it...

I don't know if he was joking, but he didn't seem like it at the time...

So i thank God, not so much for the money...

But for what my dad said, its really something coming from him...

Then my mom gave me money too...

Thank God even more...

Btw, I'm only bragging God's goodness to me

And then i got my mid-term results...

Thank God for great results, very satisfied...

I learnt not to rely so much on my abilities...

Most of the youth went tracting on Saturday...

And we all asked God to stop the rain for a while...

And He did, for a while... Thank God...

here i was back then

i was suppose to be back from Endau Rompin today
i don't know why i chose not to go
no, i do
assignments
now I'm sick and
I'd like to think of it as a "man cold"
maybe its because i didn't go serve
in the hike and God's punishing me
no, He wouldn't do that, would He
but I'm really feeling it now
headaches, stomach aches,
flu, fever, and a killer sore throat
it may be the weather
rain and sun and rain and rain and sun
or maybe its the cup noodles i had after IMU life group
mixed with instant mash potatoes
i think its that
i thank God for my presentation marks though, its really good
and i got two of my mid term results, before the mid of my term
I'm happy with them
but Ive got stacks of assignments to get done
and redone
I'm getting lazy again, barely finishing what I'm suppose to
you know what i do when I'm in this kinda situation
just drop everything and do something i want
just me, what i want
of course i have to keep in mind the time so i can pick your work up again after having fun
but that's what I'm doing now
I'm sick and tired and stressed out and frustrated at myself
but it happens, and it'll pass and everything will be alright again
just
take that time off
oh, what do you think of the new layout?

And after asking security guard after security guard where that "house that belongs to the church" was,
i got there with 2 other dudes who were in the same fix... fancy that..

Anyways, heres a lil something from that night:

No guesses here...

Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal
LOL...

Darren Scissorhands

but none of us KL1-ers came, so quite sesat la actually...
i think ill keep the details on why it was so unpublished
But a part from that it was a blast! great job Renee and whoever else who deserves credit for it..

Paddington Bear's the best, my opinion...
thats the one second from the right

Right now,
ive got this pain in my chest, right at the centre

NO, i mean literally
its been hurting for a while... and hasnt gong away
Oh, it makes a clicking sound when i stretch too
but it hurts everytime i take a deep breath or when my heart beats fast...
anyone has a clue what it might be?
Maybe its the coffee...

I went for watch watchmen with Mun Yee last friday...
Despite her not being 18 yet...
Im not a good influence, am I?

Review?

Great!:
I think is has a great plot... wun wana spoil it for ya...
Cool Characters... RORSCHACH rocks!!
Great Audio? loved the songs...
Crazy effect... naturally

Hate!:
Alot of information condensed into th 2hour 45 minute film... HEADACHE!!
Draggy... (dare i say boring?)
A little too... hm.. Graphic?

But definitely worh the money... SATISFIED.
(it may seem like it competing hard with Dark Knight at times too.. but thats for you to decide)

Right now,
