im back.... frm Gunung Tahan
it was.. well.... an experiance, i guess..

its when something good or bad happens
n u just hv 2 stop n think,
coz ur put into a situation uve nvr been b4
n at the end of it,u learn something n grow stronger
an experiance..

So at the end v didnt go 4 the Waterfall..haha..
all 2 tired after the 4th day..haih...

11 ppl went..
3 adults, jIM, mICHAEL, AND lOW
6 guys, mE, kAH lEONG, kAH mENG, tIMOTHY, sAMUEL AND jI iAN
2 girls, jOSEPHINE aND lISAhaha..

i nvr knew so much could happen in 6 days..(i need 2 stay awake more)
we went through all kinds of stuf..from the normal FORESTS to MOUNTAINS (duh...)
SO MANY PAINFULL HILLS
A LOT of MUD grounds.. (my feet sank knee deep.. KNEE DEEP..)
Climb over fallen trees...
Climb under broken trees...

MIND U.. ALL THIS WAS DONE WITH A 20KG BAG ON MY BACK...
got 2 c a whole field of PITCHER PLANTS
we walked at the peak with BONSAI plants everywhere
we even saw lil RAFFLESIAs there

A lot of LEECHES
A lot of MOSQUITOS
A lot of BEES..

EVEN GOT LOST 1ce...
and it RAINED like mad almost every day...
EVERYTHING WAS DRENCHED

on a brighter note..
We had devotion on the summit of Tahan.. how great is that?
+ its the same time CALVARY was hvin a service as well

AND there was a time (4th day i think...)
we were pushing SO hard under the rain to reach the campsite
then suddenly Kah Leong started singin praise songs, and every1 followed..
every1 instantly felt great.. thank God, He saved the morale... :p

talk bout a perfect backpacking trip..
the whole package right there

Over all, it was exciting...
sure, tiring at times..
well, most of the time...

but its worth it when i look back now..everyone kept their cool under pressure..
thats impressive 4 the younger ones
but thats an experiances right?
i mean..

WHAT DOESNT KILL YOU ONLY MAKES YOU STRONGER
IN THE SAME WAY GOD WILL ALWAYS PUSH US TO GREATER HEIGHTS,
CONSTANTLY TESTING OUR TRUST IN HIM...

AND THE EASY ROAD DOWN..COZ WHEN YOU TRUST GOD AND NOT YOUR STRENGTH, U GO WAY.... WAY... FURTHUR... THATS WHAT I DID...

2ndly, IT BRINGS ME CLOSER TO GOD, NOT SO MUCH IN THE PHYSICAL SENSE..BUT IF GODS PUSHING ME EVERYDAY LIKE HOW I PUSH MYSELF WHEN I HIKE.. SOMEHOW I RELATE TO HIM MORE.. I UNDERSTAND HIM MORE..

the water was Ice-Lemon-Tea yellow at the top..
n i drank it with no purifiers, nothing... yeah...
